Avarice is a free program that allows you to download just about anything. Based on Bottler, Avarice is a fully-skinnable multi-server IRC client that allows for simplified XDCC access. All around the world, hundreds of IRC (Internet Relay Chat) servers are awaiting your connection. These servers have thousands of channels with millions of users. Many of these channels are used to transfer files. With an IRC client, you can join one of these servers and monitor their channels for files to download. With Avarice, you can join all of the servers and have it watch the channels for you. When it finds a downloadable file, it adds it to a list. All you have to do is click on the file you want to download from the list. It's as easy as it gets. And, unlike other file ditribution methods, like BitTorrent, Avarice gives you maximum speed right away - without using all of your upload speed. Avarice is quite simply the best XDCC client available. Quit wasting time and money on software like IRC-Ork, XDCC Catcher, and XDCC Klipper. Avarice provides maximum offers using the best bot detection and the best anti-ban technology available. Avarice also supports the large file sizes ( >2GB files ) that other clients don't, so you can actually download all of the files that you find.

What is new:
Improved bot detection routines for more offers. Made the Tab button work logically. Fixed a bug where Avarice would not always let go of files properly. Fixed a bug that would happen when a servers.ini had the same server name more than once.
